We are a small group of history enthusiasts and professionals who found in the reenacting hobby a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. We are a unit within the California Historical Group (CHG). We primarily play the role of a German unit during WW2, but we also portray the American GI and on occasions other more obscure allied and Axis impressions that for one reason or another gets our interest or excites our historical curiosity. For those of us who grew up playing WW2 along with cowboys and Indians it doesn’t get any better than this.

We are very amicable and relaxed as a unit (group). We all love the hobby, and "burning powder"  (no question about that), and we do cherish our weekend getaways, however we are serious about authenticity. As authenticity is one of the fundamental corner stones of the hobby,
everyone does and/or IS expected to do their part. The more authentic you look the more everyone enjoys the experience. Learning authenticity
requires effort but in learning it becomes personally rewarding and we
would help each member every step of the way.

The one thing that WE as a group -and every other unit under the CHG organization- Allied or Axis ARE NOT flexible or tolerant about is IDEOLOGICALLY motivated people who join the hobby with the delusion that this is something else than a hobby. Whatever your persuasions may be in private, please do not bring them into the hobby. Eccentric as it may seem to some, IT IS A HOBBY and nothing else. We’re non-political and non-ideological when it comes to the hobby so for those of you who may think otherwise, please do not bother to apply. We, like every other unit in the club, require a screening period before anyone is officially allowed into the unit. For those of you who do understand and respect this important position you are WELCOME.

You can be certain that we take great pride in ourselves and on our portrayals in this hobby.  We do this not only for the sense of accomplishment of doing a fine impression, but we have an immense amount of fun and recreation in doing so.  In short, this activity IS A BLAST!  We hope to hear from you soon.
